The Class 66 is a diesel-electric locomotive that is manufactured by Electro-Motive Diesel. It is currently staff-only, but was available time for a limited time to celebrate 1 million visits of Whitecoast City Railway.
History[]
- 23 March 2023 - This train was revealed on Discord in a preview. It appeared to be open a single-track line, which appears to be a coastal line.
- 15 December 2023 - To celebrate 1 million visits, the train was released to the public and was driveable for a limited time.
- 23 January 2024 - The Class 66 was removed for public use, all players who bought the train were refunded.
Trivia[]
- This was the second staff only train in game, the other being the Class 68.
- Now, this is the only staff train in game as the Class 68 became public to drive.
- It is the second locomotive in game, the other being, again, the Class 68.
- You are able sit in the cabs of the train as a passenger.
- When driving this train, the GUI does not show the next signal aspect and the AWS does not activate at all, regardless of the next signal.
